Hello, my name is Samantha, and I am an aspiring social worker currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree. I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful, sustainable change. I believe that every challenge—regardless of size—deserves understanding, compassion, and thoughtful support. My goal is to create a safe, respectful space where individuals feel heard, empowered, and encouraged throughout their journey.
My desire to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is deeply influenced by the impact of a therapist who supported me during one of the most challenging periods of my life. Her guidance and compassion played a pivotal role in my personal growth and resilience. Inspired by her example, I am committed to providing the same level of support, advocacy, and care to individuals navigating difficult circumstances of their own.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I value balance, wellness, and connection with nature. In my free time, I enjoy riding horses, fishing, and hiking—activities that help ground me and reinforce the importance of reflection, resilience, and holistic well-being.

I am a first-year Marriage and Family Therapy student at Whitworth University. As an intern at Bigfoot Counseling, I am gaining hands-on experience in providing compassionate, client-centered therapy under the supervision of experienced professionals. I work with individuals, couples, and families, providing a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your challenges and discover new ways to navigate life. I am currently trained in Gottman Therapy Level One and recently completed Level One in Emotion-Focused Therapy.
Becoming a therapist has been a dream of mine for a long time. My therapy journey was fueled by a deep desire to create a space where people feel heard and supported.
When I am not in the therapy room, you can usually find me playing with my dogs, kayaking, or thrift shopping. I believe healing happens in many ways, and I strive to bring warmth and authenticity to every session.

Hi, I am Bella Rebay. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling (MFT) at Whitworth University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Idaho.
With over six years of experience as a Hatha Yoga Instructor—an art I believe saved me over a decade ago—I often draw on its foundations to help others reconnect with their mind and body.
Equine assisted therapy (horse therapy) is another passion of mine. After caring for my own horses and working in various fields that incorporate horses into the therapy experience, I strive to integrate this modality into my future clinical practice. My goal is to help individuals address their traumas, foster strength, and move toward healing through connection with both people and animals.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, attending live music events, creating art, and spending time with my animals.

Hello, I am Kristen Telford. I am enrolled in Capella University's Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I gained my undergraduate degree in Community Psychology from the University of Washington.
I am excited to be part of the team as an intern counselor. I am passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive space where people feel safe to share their stories. I value cultural competence and trauma-informed care, and I believe in meeting each person with compassion, respect, and understanding. I am looking forward to learning from the team and supporting clients as they work toward healing and growth.
When starting school, I began as a traditional art major. I changed my path when I met two professors that inspired me to use my life experiences to elevate others. I know in my heart that it is my duty in life to aid those in need, be a cheerleader when they succeed and be a hand to hold. With empathy and whole-hearted care, I will meet you where you are at and we will do this together.
If I am not at work, you will find me out in my garden with my dogs, Peony and Bear. They have probably eaten half of it and I'm trying to fix it.

Hi, my name is Teresa Cooksey, RN, BSN, CPN. I have been a registered nurse for 14 years, specializing in Neurology and Med-Surg Oncology care. Throughout my career, I have seen an incredibly high percentage of patients experiencing psychiatric crises alongside their physical conditions. This reality motivated me to obtain my certification as a Certified Psychiatric Nurse and deepen my understanding of mental health care.
I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Nursing Practice to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My goal is to bridge the gap between physical and mental health treatment and provide compassionate, evidence-based care to those who need it most.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy traveling the country and camping in our RV, floating the river, and spending time with family. These experiences keep me grounded, balanced, and reconnected to the simple joys in life.

Hello, my name is Sherry Cabrera, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Whitworth University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from Colorado Christian University.
My passion as I work toward becoming an MFT is helping individuals and couples make sense of life’s complex moments so we can navigate a way forward together. I strongly believe we are all unique, and the therapeutic space should reflect that. My goal is to work from a place of authenticity and compassion, drawing on my skill set, lifelong experiences, and evidence‑based practices to support clients in gaining the tools and confidence needed to overcome barriers to a wholesome and fulfilling life.
I am very excited to join Bigfoot Counseling as an intern, and I look forward to supporting my community.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my husband and kids—whether we are outdoors, playing games around the dinner table, or watching TV together. I find humor in most things and truly enjoy a good laugh. People fascinate me, and I love making new friends wherever I go.
