Hello, my name is Samantha, and I am an aspiring social worker currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree. I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful, sustainable change. I believe that every challenge—regardless of size—deserves understanding, compassion, and thoughtful support. My goal is to create a safe, respectful space where individuals feel heard, empowered, and encouraged throughout their journey.
My desire to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is deeply influenced by the impact of a therapist who supported me during one of the most challenging periods of my life. Her guidance and compassion played a pivotal role in my personal growth and resilience. Inspired by her example, I am committed to providing the same level of support, advocacy, and care to individuals navigating difficult circumstances of their own.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I value balance, wellness, and connection with nature. In my free time, I enjoy riding horses, fishing, and hiking—activities that help ground me and reinforce the importance of reflection, resilience, and holistic well-being.

Hello, my name is Ryan, and I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist at Bigfoot Counseling. Born and raised in North Idaho, I am committed to supporting the health and well being of the community I call home.
I work alongside individuals as they move toward their personal goals and improved wellness. Through my lived experience, I provide a supportive, respectful, and judgment free environment where people can build resilience, develop new skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Before joining Bigfoot Counseling, I spent many years in journalism, including serving as News Editor for the Coeur d'Alene Press. I earned a degree in Communications from Missouri Southern State University.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors on my property in Blanchard. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, exploring regional waterfalls, caring for my property, and gathering wild huckleberries. I am also a proud father of four adult children and value personal wellness through regular exercise, healthy nutrition, and time outdoors.
My goal is to help each person feel supported, heard, and empowered as they work toward recovery, wellness, and a life that reflects their personal strengths and values.
